Monster in My Pocket is a franchise of collectible figurines launched in 1990 by Matchbox . Each figurine represents a mythological creature, a legendary monster or a supernatural entity , inspired by various cultures and mythologies (vampires, werewolves, krakens, mummies, etc.). Each monster has a point value, reflecting its power.

The success of the line has spawned comics, a video game (NES in 1992), a card game, and even a cartoon . Although popularity has waned over time, Monster in My Pocket remains a cult franchise for collectors and fans of retro monsters from the 90s.
